Give Me Five @ Stud Surf Lorian @ Stud Rocky Ridge Bellevue Hotel Semaphore Board As you will all have seen we now have our new Semaphore Board up and running, how great is it.  Updated Technology comes to Townsville Greyhounds!  We would like to thank Brooks Trial Nights Trainers could you make sure that on Trial Nights that you empty your dogs up near the kennel area as we aren't able to police this area during Thursday night trails.  If your dog does empty out could you please make sure that you are responsible and pick up.  Buckets and shovels are down near the kennels. Also most trainers are now aware that we have installed a printer at the 498 boxes which will give you the time of your trial.  We are trialling giving out numbers but this does not always work, so if you can make sure that you go to the printer straight after your trial that will be yours.  Please ask a member of the committee if you have any problems. AGM Meeting The Annual General Meeting of the Townsville Greyhound Racing Club has been set for Wednesday, September 29th, 2010 at the Kennel Block commencing 7.30pm.  Books are currently being audited at this time. NEWS - 30 June 2010 As you all know we are currently taking 2 weeks off racing while the Townsville Show is on.  We will recommence racing on the 13th July, so don't forget to nominate next Thursday 8th July. WORKING BEE We will have a working bee at 9.00am Saturday 10th July to make sure that our track and facilities are up and running for race night on the 13th July.  This will mean walking the track to make sure that there are no foreign objects etc.  The kennels, office, TAB and catering will also need to be put back in order.  So if you can help out please come along, even an hour of your time makes a difference.  A sausage sizzle will be held afterwards.   GROUP 3 `GIVE ME FIVE AT STUD' TOWNSVILLE CUP Heats 17th August, Final 24th August 2010 As you may be aware `Give Me Five at Stud' will be the major sponsor of the Townsville Cup for 2010.  We thank Terry Hines for this awesome sponsorship and look forward to an exciting cup week.   Sunday 22nd August We will be having the heats of the sprints on this evening, with the finals to run on Cup Night.  More information will be forthcoming and you will be advised as soon as possible. Sponsor's Meet & Greet Night - Sunday, 15th August $100 Sponsor's Raffle We will also be having a `Sponsor's Raffle' - Tickets selling for $100 with only 100 tickets being sold.  Prize money will be 1st Prize 1500, 2nd $500, 6 draws of $200 and 6 draws of $100.  All purchasers of tickets will be used to name races throughout the year which are advertised through the media.  Drinks and nibbles between 6.00pm and 7.30pm will be available prior to the drawing of this raffle at the Bellevue Hotel, 17 Allen St, South Townsville.   CALCUTTA (Commencing directly after the Meet & Greet Sponsor's Raffle - 15 August 2010) Calcutta tickets will be available for purchase very soon, tickets will be available at $2.00 each please see the office or a committee member for your tickets.  If you can sell tickets please see the office as soon as possible.
