Recapping from last Tuesday's heats of the Young Guns, heat one was taken out by Archangel trained by Gary Heath had won in the time of 22.83. Heat two was won by a bitch with a class all of her own, Are They Now trained by Noel Vohland in the time of 22.41.</div> <bR> <div> Heat three showed some fantastic talent taken out by Georgee Go Wing trained by Robert Olsen in the time of 22.06. Heat four was the last heat of the series which was taken out by Major Lightman trained by Norm Randall in the time of 22.43. In the form guide selections Are They Now looked to be a promising chance from box two alongside Georgee Go Wing from box one. As the runners were placed into the boxes for the final, the favourite was Are They Now at $2.90 along with Georgee Go Wing at $3.00. Glen also had another winner during the night which was <B>Fantasy Bound </B>making maiden winning debut in the time of <B>22.14.</B></div> <bR> <div> It was great to see last Tuesday some visiting trainers from down south Warren Scannella and many more but unfortunately lady luck was just not on their side when they needed it the most. It was also great to see the greyhound <B>Two Up Tuffy </B>make a visit to the showgrounds which is also owned by website creators of <B>Dinky Di Web Design, Rick and Di O'Donnell</B> and who also keeping our website running everyday and making it look fantastic. This prestigious event was held last Tuesday night with it being a one off event. The best eight  selected greyhounds in Townsville and in Queensland. The way the box draw panned out for the best eight over the 380m, was a somewhat difficult challenge for both greyhounds.  The Steve Dodd trained bitch draw box four, with the Glen Olsen Trained Herman John draw box seven in-between danger rivals Bold Apache and Mr. Solution.  </div> <bR> <div> At the start Colli Belle gained a good lead on the field and never gave up without a fight with a brilliant top grade win with the bitch scoring by seven lengths to 2nd Outta State and with a length and a half the Hidden Quest in the time of <B>22.11.</B> Colli Belle's closest rival Herman John finished a disappointing seventh. Next Tuesday will decide on the last race meeting of the year that who will be named the <B>Townsville Greyhound of the Year for 2011,</B> Now with Colli Belle in front there is still a chance for Herman John to take on the title, you decide! </div> <bR> <div> Next Tuesday will be our final racing meeting for the year and to finish it off the <B>Townsville Greyhound Racing Club and The Townsville Council </B>have organized a few activities for it to be a great family event for all. The activities that will be on offer such as a <B>Jumping Castle, Face Painting</B> and of course it wouldn't a special event so close to Christmas without a special visit from the man in the red suit, <B>Santa Claus.</B> Admission will be free through the gates with the first race set to jump at <B>6.55pm.</B> The main feature race event of the night will be the Townsville City Council Mayors Trophy held over the 498m.</div> <bR> <div> As reports come in from the north up in Cairns the running of the <B>RQL Century Cranes Young Guns Final</B> was held last Saturday Night held over the 410m. The only representative for Townsville is the latest sprint queen of North Qld, Are They Now trained by Noel Vohland. The Vohland trained bitch won an impressive heat in her debut to the Cannon Park track winning in the time of <B>23.89,</B> downing her rivals Tokalon Thunder and Tiwi Terra.  The results where a complete upset with the reserve <B>Soweto Warrior</B> trained by <B>Christy Godfrey</B> jumping from box three taking home the victory downing 2nd Tokalon Thunder and 3rd Archangel in the time of 24.12. Due to a shortage of nominations this feature race was to become a one off event for the evening program. The second favourite for punters was the current greyhound of the year at time Herman John along with Don't Listen and the outsider troublemaker from box eight, Super Soprano. There was no doubt that Townsville was well support in the heats with the likes of Are They Now from box seven and many other greyhounds from Townsville as well to take on this feature event. But once again even that it wasn't her home track, <B>Are They Now</B> just proves to be unbeatable trained by <B>Noel Vohland</B> winning by four and three quarter lengths over 2nd Tokalon Thunder with a length and three quarters to Tiwi Terra in 3rd in the time of <B>23.89,</B> which is an impressive run for a first look at the Cairns track. Other heat winners were the Stephen Clark trained Thunder Spirit in the time of 24.03 and the Isobel Camp trained Mel Don't Care in the time of 24.07. The two dog race is between the <B>Glen Olsen</B> owned, trained and bred <B>Herman John</B> and the <B>Steve Dodd</B> owned and trained bitch <B>Colli Belle</B>. Herman John made his way back to the showgrounds in the previous week making an easy victory of the local bitch and last Tuesday Colli Belle did exactly the same in return running in the time of <B>22.11</B>. As there is only three weeks left before racing at the showgrounds is wrapped up for the year, these two greyhounds will be the ones to watch as the battle just gets bigger and bigger.</div> <bR> <div> Last Tuesday night saw the running of the <B>Racing Queensland Limited Maiden 1000 Series Final,</B> race five on the program was to be the decider of the final. The well tipped greyhound throughout the series Stealthy Express was the fastest heat winner last Tuesday in the time of 22.39. The outside danger from box eight was the third heat winner Iced Ink trained by Nathan Goodwin in the time of 22.54. As they were loaded into the boxes, the betting price at the present time was the Bradley Belford trained Stealthy Express at $2.10 and the Nathan Goodwin trained Iced Ink at $2.50.
